Cosmic Tools

Cosmic Tools are the relic tool system introduced in Dawntrail's Cosmic Exploration content. Each DoH and DoL job has its own Cosmic Tool, upgraded in stages by collecting research data through Stellar Missions. Unlike previous relic weapons, these tools start at level 10 and scale all the way to ilvl 780 at full completion.

The four service tiers represent the major ilvl milestones in the Cosmic Tool upgrade chain. Cosmic Tool sits at ilvl 720, Stellar Tool at ilvl 750, Hypertool at ilvl 765, and Tool of Stars at ilvl 780. Each tier requires progressively more research data across a greater number of data types.

Upgrades require research data collected by completing Stellar Missions with the relevant DoH or DoL job equipped. Higher-tier missions reward more data and unlock additional data types needed for later phases. Gold-rank mission completions multiply data output significantly. FF14 Cosmic Tools Boosting on Overgear runs Stellar Missions on the chosen job until all required data types are collected and the target tool tier is reached.

All 11 Disciples of the Hand and Land are covered: Carpenter, Blacksmith, Armorer, Goldsmith, Leatherworker, Weaver, Alchemist, Culinarian, Miner, Botanist, and Fisher. Each job has its own Cosmic Tool with a job-specific appearance and independent research data progress.
